A Letter From Mrs Kimani
Your fundraising efforts at the Christmas Fair 2015 were impressive indeed. £3,923 raised by such a small parent community is cause for celebration!
Thanks to ALL parents who contributed as organisers, cooks, stall-holders and customers! I know that the HTSA committee will echo my particular thanks to the familiar faces that I see helping at every HTSA event. You do amazing work.
It is always great to see new faces helping out at HTSA events and this year was no exception. Welcome and thanks to all first-time volunteers.
Looking forward to the Summer Fair! Good luck with all your preparations
Mrs Kimani

The Ask Me What I Did Post is the HTSA's version of the school's Ask Me What I Did Postcards that get sent home to mark our children's achievements.
Thanks this week to Y6 parents Alex (Will's mum) & Linda (Freya's mum) who have volunteered to stage their very own wrapping session on Tuesday for the tombola at the Xmas Fair.
It's a HUGE job, fiddly and time consuming and when it's done, we'll have more time for our wrapping and prep session next Friday 27th in the Club Room (everyone welcome).

On the agenda: The Christmas Fair.
Four Things For Half Term
1. For better of for worse there will be a LOT of sweeties flying about the place this Halloween. If you can, do remember to keep a few aside to fill decorated jars for the Jarbola at this year's Xmas Fair. The jarbola made a LOAD of money at last year's Xmas Fair. Here are last year's instructions.
2. Keep scratching your heads for new sponsorship deals for the HTSA. It came up time and again in parents' suggestions last year, let's see if we can bring those ideas to fruition this year.
3. Buy a ticket for the Film Night from your class rep!
4. Have a fantastic Half Term break and we'll see you in November!

Suggestion 4 HTSA Evening Meeting 13th November 6:00p.m
We appreciate that many parents want to get involved with the HTSA but cannot attend morning meetings due to work commitments. We therefore propose to run and support working-groups for a variety of events, and these groups could meet in the evening instead of the morning.
To get the ball rolling on The Night Shift we'd like to extend an invitation to parents and carers to join the first HTSA Evening Meeting on the 13th November – a social brain-storming evening that coincides with the movie night.
Time 6pm, venue the club room. Free glass of wine/bottle of beer + snacks.
We've come up with FOUR suggestions to get us started – these are only SUGGESTIONS, mind, you may have your own ideas as to how to raise funds in 2015/16.

GO
SOLO
Maybe you hate meetings? Maybe it's just
rotten luck that the meetings are stage at a time when you can't make them.
Maybe you just don't like the look of the committee.
So… GO IT ALONE. Grow a moustache, stop
drinking, cycle, run, walk and get sponsors.
You don't have to wait for permission to
fundraise for YOUR HTSA.
If your solo fundraising needs support – posters,
sponsor forms, announcements, reasonable expenses – get in touch with the
committee – Adam, Marina, Gemma, Wiebke & Hannah.

SUGGESTION 2/4
Have a NIGHTSHIFT meeting to brainstorm
corporate sponsors.
One of the BIG ideas last year was to get
corporate sponsorship. It was often suggested by dads.
So… get together with a couple of friends –
at the pub, at someone's house, in Cherry Tree Woods, at the school, anywhere –
and brainstorm corporate sponsors. Follow up in your own time by approaching as
many as you have the time to approach.
Corporate sponsors will get their logo on
all our correspondence and social media communications.
EXTRA:
If anyone brings in £500 worth of corporate sponsorship then they will be
entered into a prize draw at the end of the year to win £100 to be spent on
uniform items at Braggs.

friends to organise one of the following:
Auction Night
Quiz Night
Wine Tasting Night
Tickets & posters can be printed in the
